Subject: Applying for some financial help from the poor fund

Dear Sir,

With due respect, I would like to arrest your attention to the fact that I am the student of class X of your school in science group. Two of my sisters study in English Deparment at Satkhira Government College. However, my father is a day labourer, who can hardly maintain our family of eight, let alone our study expenses.  So, I need some financial help from the poor fund.

I, therefore, hope that you would consider the matter, and take prompt measures in this regard.

Yours faithfully,

Story: The Hare and the Tortoise

Learn English with fun!

The Hare and the Tortoise

Once there lived a hare in a green forest. He was very fast and proud of his speed. He often made fun of a slow tortoise and laughed at the way he walked. The tortoise felt sad but stayed calm. One day, he challenged the hare to a race. The hare agreed and felt sure he would win.
The race began. The hare ran very fast and soon left the tortoise far behind. Feeling confident, the hare decided to rest under a tree. He thought the tortoise would take a long time to come. While resting, the hare fell into a deep sleep.

The tortoise walked slowly but never stopped. Step by step, he moved forward with patience. After some time, the hare woke up and ran as fast as he could. But it was too late. The tortoise had already crossed the finish line and won the race.

Moral: Slow and steady wins the race.

Dear Readers,

Please, never hesitate to pass a comment on my writing because your comments make me feel better, and motivate to a great extent to write more creatively. Thank you very much.

Sincerely yours,
