          Note: After 13 years the Romantic Age started. Anyway, literature focuses the aristocratic people.

5) R – The Romantic Age                                       (1798-1832)

          Note: English literature focuses common people and is written in simple language.

6) V – The Victorian Age                                        (1832-1901)

i) The Pre-Raphaelites Period                                (1848-1860)

ii) Aestheticism and Decadence                           (1880-1901) Note: 48, 60, 80, 1

          Note: (Charles Darwin, Conflict between Religion and Science. Later, there’s Victorian Compromise)

7) M – The Modern Age                                         (1901-1939)

i) The Edwardian Age                                             (1901-1910)

ii) The Georgian Age                                              (1910-1936)

8) P – The Postmodern Age                                   (1939 to Onwards)
