Paragraph: Environment Pollution

Environment Pollution

Paragraph: Our environment comprises air, water, soil, sound and so on. When these essential elements are polluted, it is called environment pollution. First, air, an inseparable element of the environment, is polluted by the smoke from the industrial plants, motor-vehicles and dust from the roads and construction sites. Besides, when a dead animal is left unburied, it pollutes the air. Moreover, deforestation increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the air; the gas is also responsible for air pollution. Furthermore, burning of fossil fuels pollutes air. Secondly, water is another important element of the environment. It is contaminated, when people cast away waste materials into water. In addition, leakage of oil from water vehicles and presence of organic materials into water can be held responsible for water pollution. Thirdly, soil, another integral part of the environment, is polluted by the industrial exhaust, deforestation, over-use of agricultural pesticides, chemical fertilizers, improper disposal of polythene shopping bags. Fourthly, sound, another necessary component of the environment, is polluted by playing music aloud here and there, honking harshly, use of hydraulic horns. By the way, we, humans, are largely responsible for these types of pollution. If pollution keeps on going in this manner, we will suffer in near future. In this regard, people must be made aware of different types of pollution, only then we can prevent our environment from pollution. As we are part of the environment, preservation of those elements benefits our whole existence on earth.

Story: The Honest Woodcutter

An Honest Woodcutter

Long long ago there lived an honest woodcutter in a village. He earned his livelihood selling wood in a nearby market. Once he went out for a forest to cut wood with an iron axe. Suddenly, his axe fell into the river while cutting wood. As a result, he was crying because he could not buy another axe. After a while, a beautiful fairy appeared before him and asked the reason of his crying. He told her everything. So, she took pity on him and dived into the water of the river and came up with a silver axe. Then she asked him if it was his one. He replied, “No”. Again, she dived for the second time and came out with a gold axe and asked him if it was his one. He replied the same. Afterwards, she disappeared in the water and stood before him with the same axe he had lost. Story: Robert Bruce and the Spider

Robert Bruce was the King of Scotland. He fought against King Edward I of England for the independence of his country. But he lost the battle again and again. Being defeated for six times, he lost all hopes and fled away to save his life. Once, he was lying in a cave in a forest. There he saw a spider trying to reach the top of the steep wall of the cave. It fell down repeatedly, but it did not give up its attempts. At its seventh attempt, it succeeded in reaching the top. The incident inspired Bruce to gather his soldiers together. He fought against the English army and got the independence of Scotland. The story teaches us, “Failure is the pillar of success.”

Letter: Write a letter to your friend about the importance of trees

Dear Bithi,

Hope you’re well by the grace of the Creator. Anyway, I got your letter yesterday. In it, you wanted to know about the importance of trees. I’m telling you about it in short.

Trees are the best gift of nature. They are useful to us in many ways. They give us oxygen. They make the environment beautiful. They give us food, wood and shade. Houses, chairs and furniture are made from wood. Many animals get their food from leaves, vegetables and fruit from trees.

Truly yours,

Paragraph : Load Shedding

 Load Shedding

Load shedding refers to sudden stoppage of electricity supply for some time in some areas. It hampers our day to day life activities. There are some reasons of it. Illegal use of electricity causes it. Besides when the demand of electricity is more than the supply, it occurs then. Carelessness of using it is also responsible for it. During storms, heavy rain it goes away. Moreover it affects our life greatly. During load shedding, people have to suffer for hot weather. Mills and factories need to stop their production. Students cannot continue their studies. It invites theft, robbery, snatching and so on. Besides the food in a refrigerator gets rotten. Operation theatres come to a standstill. We can get rid of the problem, if illegal connection is stopped. By generating more electricity we can overcome the problem. Using day light as long as possible can help us face the situation. To be careful about using it can save it. Above all, people should be made aware of using. In these ways, we can resolve the problem.
